Additional settings are the final step in the document creation process. At this stage, you’ll find several options available — each of which we’ll explain in detail below.
Choose the menu below that matches the section you’d like to learn more about.
Appearance
Appearance
You can choose between two signature styles:
Signature only
The signature field displays only the signer’s signature appearance — no additional details are shown. For example:
Signatory data field
This field includes the following information:
Electronic Timestamp
Apply security markings to all pages of your document. Select the desired position: left margin, right margin, or footer.
The electronic marking includes the following information:
Unique document identifier
Hash code – a unique code that identifies the file and enables verification of any changes made to its content
QR Code: links to the document’s audit page.
Force signature appearance
Sets a single visual style for every signature in the document. You can choose from the following:
Generate automatic signature
An automatic signature is generated using the signer's first name and the initial of their last name (e.g., Adam J).Draw signature manually
The signer can draw their signature directly within the service. If no signature has been previously created, they will be prompted to draw one during the signing process.Upload signature image
The signer can use a previously uploaded image of their signature. If no image is available, they’ll be prompted to upload one during the signing process.Mark as Electronically Signed
This option does not display a personalized signature. Instead, only the label Electronically signed will appear to indicate that the document was signed digitally.
Emails
Emails

An email is sent to all signers once the document is fully signed. It includes a link to access the finalized document.
Send email to the signer upon signing

Reminders
Reminders
Signature reminder (for signers)
Sends email notifications to signers reminding them to sign the document. You can set the frequency to daily or weekly. Reminders will continue to be sent until one of the following occurs:
The document is signed.
The maximum of 7 reminders is reached.
This feature is especially useful for documents that require action from multiple signers, helping to ensure timely completion.
To enable signature reminders, the document refusal option must be activated. This allows signers to decline the request and stop receiving notifications if they choose not to sign.
Expiration reminder (for senders)
Sends an email notification to the document creator about the expiration date set at the time of submission. Once the expiration date is reached, the document will be marked as expired on the dashboard.
This feature is especially useful for keeping track of important deadlines -particularly for time-sensitive documents like business proposals or contracts that lose validity after a certain date.
Other settings
Other settings
Allow document rejection
Signers have the option to refuse the document during the signing process. Once a refusal occurs, the document is blocked from receiving any further signatures. Signers can also provide a reason for their refusal, helping others understand the context behind the decision.
Prevent others from signing after rejection
When this option is enabled, the document will be automatically blocked for all remaining signers if any signer rejects it. This prevents others from continuing the signing process after a refusal, ensuring that the document is not completed under conditions that were not agreed upon by all parties.
Lock document after deadline
After the defined expiration date and time, both access and signing are disabled. Pending signers will no longer be able to view or complete the document once it has expired.
Require viewing of the entire document
The Sign button becomes available only after the signer has scrolled through the entire document. This ensures that the content is reviewed before a signature is made. This feature is available exclusively to users on the Professional Plan.
Maintain signatories data updated
Automatically updates the signer’s profile information in the document if any changes are made. You can disable this feature to preserve the original data in the document, even after the signer updates their profile. This feature is available exclusively to Professional Plan users.
